Acknowledgement and Consent
The parent/legal guardian hereby unambiguously and explicitly consents and agrees that Shattuck-St. Mary's Forest City International School ("the School" or "SSM-FC") may collect, process, use, modify and retain within or outside Malaysia (collectively "process") the personal data of the Student, parent and/or legal guardian as described herewith.

Types of Personal Data
Personal data may also include but not be limited to name, contact details, religious belief, previous examination results, academic records, financial information, medical information and other sensitive personal data about the student/parent/legal guardian.

Source of Personal Data
SSM-FC collects personal data directly or indirectly from students, parents, legal guardians and/or recruitment agents when students, parents, guardians and/or recruitment agents submit completed enquiry, application and/or registration forms via various formats, including electronic, oral, physical, audio and/or video (such as voice, video recording, closed-circuit television and security recording), image (such as photographs) and location tracking/GPS information at public venues, seminars held at schools and/or when students, parents, legal guardians and/or recruitment agents visit the school.
Personal data may also be collected from cookies through the use of SSM-FC website, or upon receipt of an interest to be contacted for SSM-FC-related events and marketing activities (including business card collection via fishbowl method or from previous events organized).

Purposes of Collecting and Processing (including Disclosing) Personal Data
Your personal data may be used and processed for SSM-FC's administrative and business purposes, which include (but is not limited to) the following:

Students/potential students:
To enroll the Student in the School; to promote, support or develop the activities, interests and objects of the School; to facilitate the efficient operation of the School; to communicate with the Student/parent/legal guardian; to provide the Student/parent/legal guardian with information relating to the programs, products, services and/or events offered or organized by the School; and to ensure that all relevant obligations of the School are complied with (collectively "the said purposes").

Vendor, supplier or service provider:
SSM-FC collects personal data directly or indirectly from the provider or employer or credit reference agencies when tendering for projects or as part of the commercial transactions. Personal data may also be collected from cookies through the use of SSM-FC website. It is mandatory to provide all information requested in the relevant forms unless stated otherwise. Failing which, SSM-FC may be unable to process the request and/or provide the relevant services.

Location-enabled products or applications transmit user location information to us. We do not use the information sent or provided other than to provide the service requested. Location-enabled features are opt-in and users have control over such participation and can turn these services off at any time or uninstall them. Some mobile applications will utilize Google Analytics (or similar tools) to help us better serve customers through improved products, services, and revisions to the mobile applications. This collected information will not identify users to us. It may, however, let us know anonymously, which services and features used the most within the application, as well as device type and hardware features, country and language of download.

Transfer of Personal Data
The personal data may be disclosed or transferred to locations outside Malaysia (where the Personal Data may not be afforded the same level of protection as it is under Malaysian laws) or otherwise processed by the School and other members or affiliates of the SSM-ES Group (including its employees, office-bearers, officers, directors, trustees, consultants, contractors, agents and any other third party providers, person or entity selected or deemed appropriate by the School to provide the applicable goods and services from time to time) for the said purposes.

Changes to our Privacy Policy
We may amend this policy from time to time. If we make any substantial changes we will notify you by posting a prominent notice on the SSM-FC Website.

Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia, whose courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction, although we retain the right to bring proceedings against you for breach of these conditions in your country of residence or other relevant country.
